With so many crises<\/strong> in the world right now, those fleeing war and violence often have to settle in places where nothing is familiar \u2014 much less the local language.<\/span>Translating for big corporate clients may be satisfying when it comes to money, but there are some kinds of translations that satisfy a human need that often gets overlooked. <\/span>We all have the potential inside us to create changes in the world. Nonprofits are needed now more than ever. They help end hunger, deal with water supply issues, lack of schools and jobs and many other problems.<\/span><\/p>\n

Many nonprofit organizations work closely with translators so immigrants and refugees can understand their rights and what steps to take with their new lives.<\/span><\/p>\n

The U.S. is a country populated and founded by immigrants. Yet there aren\u2019t enough resources for recent immigrants who haven\u2019t learned English at all or not well enough to understand it without help from an interpreter or translated materials. <\/span><\/p>\n
